2025: A Season of Rounds, Ratings, and Real Progress
Every golf season tells a story. Some chapters are written on perfect summer mornings, others during grinding range sessions or tense tournament rounds where every shot counts. Thanks to GHIN’s year-end recap, 2025 gave me a clean snapshot of how those chapters came together.
I played a mix of casual rounds and competitive amateur events, which made this season especially interesting. Friendly rounds tested creativity and course management, while tournament golf demanded discipline, patience, and consistency—traits that don’t always show up on the scorecard but matter just as much.
What stood out most in the 2025 recap wasn’t a single low round or highlight moment. It was the pattern:
- More consistent scoring
- Better performance under pressure
- Clear evidence that practice translated into results on the course
That’s what keeps me coming back. Golf is never about perfection—it’s about narrowing dispersion, making smarter decisions, and staying committed when conditions (or nerves) aren’t ideal.
As a financial advisor, I see a strong parallel between golf and financial planning. Success rarely comes from one perfect swing or one perfect decision. It comes from repeatable fundamentals, good data, and the discipline to stick with a plan over time—especially when markets or conditions change.
The images below capture my 2025 season in numbers. Below that is a list of the 42 unique golf courses I played in 2025. Each one represents time invested, lessons learned, and momentum heading into 2026. I’m already looking forward to the next tee box.
